*Note: This is a CJC event - you will not be permitted on the range if you are not a member of this group!*
- This is a private Open Range event, which means all firearms, including black rifles, are welcome on our steel target range!
- If you have ever wanted to shoot a Barrett .50, this will be your chance at the end of the class!
- A detailed safety briefing and expectations will be provided prior to the class.
- This is not a structured class, but instructors will be available to provide assistance should you need it or want to try out a firearm you don't have.
- Rental firearms are available for this class at no extra charge, however, in order to reserve one please let us know in advance by calling/texting us at 312.888.075.
- Ammo may be purchased at reasonable prices directly at the class - if you need something other than 9mm or 223/556 please let us know.
- Children under 17 are absolutely welcome at the range with a guardian for $60 per child, payable with cash or Zelle. Please call us to let us know if you are bringing a child so that we can adjust the count accordingly.
- Class starts at 10:00 AM; arrive on time as a courtesy to the range owners, who open the gate to let you into this private range. Arrive a half hour early if you need a firearm and/or ammo. If you need to leave earlier than the end time, please let us know at the beginning of the class.
- There is a firm cap of 40 people for this event, so book a spot if you want to attend!
- Refunds can only be provided if you cancel 7 days in advance.
- Rain or shine event, unless extreme weather!
A few notes:
- The range is paved, and can get quite hot. Please be sure to bring more hydration than you think you need, including electrolytes. Neck fans or cooling hats/gators are great for the range!
- You are welcome to bring snacks, but there will most likely not be time for a dedicated lunch break so that we can make sure you get as much time on the range as possible.
- Secure parking is available directly adjacent to the gun range, so you will have no problem accessing your cars during the event.
- There is limited seating at a picnic table, so bring your own chairs if you would like to be more comfortable. We will also have some pop-up tents for cover.
- There is a clean porta potty on the range.
- Smoking is allowed but you must pick up your butts.
- Please note that you absolutely must have the required safety equipment to shoot on the range (see required equipment section).
